So, I stopped using hormonal BC in February, and since then my cycle has been adjusting to the lack of chemicals I guess. Although my cycle has been long-ish (45 days), my period has alays been 3-4 days, not too heavy, and I haven't really had any pain or PMS.

This cycle, though has been very different. I started bleeding on day 25 (instead of my normal 45), and now it's the 11th day and I'm still bleeding! I've also been cramping and having sore uterus muscles, where normally I wouldn'thave any pain.

Is this just my body adjusting to the lack of Pill? a weird, but not worrying freak period? or could it be something else? (I was thinking a miscarriage, although it's not very heavy bleeding, and there's little chance of an unknown pregnancy).

Help, please!

Since I'm poor, but am also a goddess in the kitchen.. I've decided that I'm giving baked goods for Christmas presents this year. Stuff like chocolate chip cookies.. peppermint bark.. etc.

However.

A few of my family members are diabetic, so I was wondering if anyone had any diabetic-friendly recipes?

Hey Mr. LJ.

It's hard to explain just how thrilled I am to have found my little miracle cure. Especially since the truth is that I actually hate running. I guess I just hated having it hurt me so much more. Totally made me miserable. Depressed me to the brink. Then a couple little shoe inserts and my ankles are pain free, my knee pain is greatly reduced and my hips are right back to normal. It's wonderful. I feel like I may even be able to go running again by Monday. No more being depressed.

Which I totally was being. I could be cheerful instead now!

Well, at least I can go back to being depressed about better things like being too unattractive to ever have anyone love me, and therefore spending the rest of my life alone. Yay! I'm a trollish outcast!

I do find having to wear shoes all the time kind of annoying though. Oh well. Better than being hobbled right?

Not that any of this matters. I'm living in a plague house. The people upstairs are all saying, "Oink! Oink! Oink!" I'm totally doomed. I can't even get vaccinated until tomorrow, and I'm surely already exposed! Everyone knows it mostly kills the young healthy ones too. Which is kind of a piss off since normally I have to complain about being old, and the one time I get to be young and healthy it kills me!

Later Mr. LJ.

Aha--that greyhound email from earlier? There are greyhounds, but the info I gave was incorrect--here's a link to the real info. Apologies for the mistake.

It isn't quite neovictoriana, nor are there any actual straps or brass on the shirt; It is just a shirt with a steampunk-aesthetic-inspired design, but short of the rare pair of finished goggles this is probably the closest to relative thing I've had a chance to post here, as I am not a steampunk clothier... as much as I wish I had those skills.

At first, I wanted to go with the light chocolate tonal stripe shirt from Alternative Apparel, but they are discontinued and no longer available from the manufacturer. I *can* get them from various sources online, but with no guarantees on quantity available or consistent supply.

I decided to go with a distressed and heathered pigment-dyed chestnut material, to keep to a sepia motif and to so at least the material could look to be of vintage quality.

The design is the product of working at a new logo/icon for the cover of the coffee table art book "Airships and Tentacles", a collection of weird-fiction illustrations. It employs Da Vinci styled ornothopter wings, the wheel of a ship's helm, and a combination monacle/eyepatch, and of course the skull and cross-swords/jolly roger with crossed wrenches in place of swords.

The design was hand-drawn and digitally colored (for ease of color separation for screen printing), though I did go back and finish the original pen and ink with water colors after the fact.

If you'd like to see larger images, they are available here.

Due to moving/not moving drama, I've held off on starting my steamy accessories. I recieved word yesterday that I actually have time to attend a few gatherings, the soonest being in two weeks.

I've got an aviator outfit that I can do up, but it is begging for a jetpack. Might anybody have some quick/cheap tutorials to offer? (The cheaper, the better). I've searched the web but keep on coming up with one that requires a fire extinguisher. :-/

...there is no bike parking at the liquor store.

Yet here I am with a nice shot of 15 year old Laphroaig single malt at hand, because where there's a will, there's a No Parking sign that you can lock your bike to for a few minutes.

And that's one more thing I never would have predicted doing by bicycle: booze run.

So last night I watched the finale of Project Runway. Now I'm inspired to try to make some hats. If anyone saw it, this picture isn't the best shot of this hat, but what would be the best way to go about making hats like this. There are more pictures of some of the different hats at this site http://projectrunway.auction.seenon.com/

Normally, I wouldn't give a tinker's damn about fashion shows in general, or Victoria's Secret. But I happened to catch sight of a photo from the show that just took place last night, and then looked for the rest of them. There are definitely some steampunk type influences going on with some of the outfits there! Specifically, LOTS of corsets, and some absolutely amazing "angel wings" that are SO COOL! I've posted the coolest ones I found.

Too bad that all the cool stuff is probably stuff they're not actually selling.....like those WINGS. *drools*

I have been on Lutera for 3 weeks and it's my first time back on hbc in 4 or 5 years.

I haven't had any side affects but my clitoral orgasms are lame! Getting there is awesome and intense and what I am used to. But getting off is such a let down! It's like the build up before a sneeze that never happens. How awful is that?

Is this normal? Is it just my body getting used to the hormones and next month will be better?

Thank you!
